Anybody out there want to get on the water?  Thinking Plateau, water is likely to be rising during the day on Weds.  Crab Orchard or Crooked Fork or both?  Or maybe Caney Fork?  I'll be in town and paddling on weekends, Feb 23-24 and March 2-3.
Cell is 503-479-5426.

  Yoga for Paddlers?
Posted by: ohpeptide - 02-12-2019, 01:40 PM - Forum: ETWC Posts/Threads - No Replies

Hello fellow paddlers! I am currently going through Yoga Teacher Training and part of my graduation requirements is to teach a 4 week yoga class. I was thinking it would be interesting to gear a series towards kayaking. Maybe working on poses with shoulder mobility, hip opening, and calming the mind? Please comment if you would be interested. I would love to hear if there was something more specific you would like to work on and what your availability looks like.

*These classes would be free and beginner friendly!

  2019 Roll Practice Schedule
Posted by: Kary - 12-17-2018, 02:44 PM - Forum: ETWC Posts/Threads - No Replies

2019 Roll Practice Schedule at the Oak Ridge Civic Center indoor pool:
January 4, 11, 18, 25
February 1, 8, 15, 22
March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
April 5, 12, 26

Roll practice is from 8:30 PM to 9:45 PM. Attendees should meet at the back door and wash their boats off with the hose. The cost is $5 per boat for adults, or $3 per boat for 18 and under.
Please note there is construction at the civic center on the south side of the parking lot with a construction fence restricting our access to the pool. We have a couple of options. We can park in the parking lot east of the library and carry boats/gear on the path behind the civic center to the pool. Or, we can dump our boats and gear over the construction fence onto the grass either side of the dumpster by the pool building, then go through the building to come out in the back and pick them up.
