Save the Dates for the Morgan County 6th Graders!!!
Posted by: Billy Bob - 10-06-2018, 03:12 PM - Forum: ETWC Posts/Threads - No Replies

The 2019 6th Graders Program will be held at Lilly Bridge on weekdays between May 13 and May 22.

The first full week and the following Monday (May 20) are scheduled days for each middle school in the County, and the following two days are make-up days in case of bad weather earlier in the program.

This will be the eighth year that ETWC has partnered with the National Park Service to provide a fun outside experience to all of the 6th grade classes in Morgan County.  ETWC has received a grant for equipment to be used in the program, and the grant requires volunteer hours to repay the funds.  Please plan on providing some of those volunteer hours next May - We volunteers have at least as much fun as the students!

Club Meeting Tues Sept 18 at 7:30
Posted by: MarkB - 09-14-2018, 11:19 AM - Forum: ETWC Posts/Threads - No Replies

John Tansil, a very early club member is putting together a history of ETWC and will be in town to share what he has found.  Reid Gryder will also be sharing some old slides from club trips from the 70's. It will be a great meeting for old-timers to reminisce and for new boaters to make connections and learn what trips will be coming down the road.

The meeting will be at the club house at the top of the hill within Greystone Apts on Solway Rd ½ mile from Hardin Valley Rd.

We will also meet and eat before the meeting at Grill Don Gallos on Hardin Valley Rd, 6pm. Call or Text Mark 865-679-9242 if you want to come eat so he can save you a spot.

Posted by: Ian - 08-20-2018, 03:50 PM - Forum: ETWC Posts/Threads - Replies (1)

Weather permitting, we are going back to the Nantahala for this weekend's beginner's trip. The plan is to meet at the Patton's Run put-in between 10:30 and 11:00 am. We'll run shuttle from there. For those that would like to car pool we will meet at Fort Sanders West at 8:00 am. If you plan to participate (beginners and experienced boaters alike) please let me know by replying to this post or emailing me by Thursday evening August 23. Also let me know where you plan to meet the group (FSW or the put-in).
